The History of Crimson Ai as told by the Rated R NekostarIt was the summer of 2002, back in the Philippines. A random group of people met up at SM Megamall's bowling alley by invitation of someone so moved by Culture Crash, he decided to form his own comic book group as well. At that same meet, a then-collegiate guy who has just happened to be there just for the heck of it met this very talented lady. What initially was a simple meeting of the minds became a long standing partnership, fueled by their equal passions of animé, manga and comics.
Late 2002, the guy (Khrysler) and the lady (Oracle) went on to pitch in a project named Elven Way. It was a story supposedly created for that year's Komikon but due to time constraints and the sudden internal rifts within Sparks Studios forced the said title to be on indefinite hiatus. Still, it did not stop the duo to continue and create stories influenced by a lot of factors. And at the same time, their partnership evolved into something deeper. At this same time, Crimson Ai was born.
After the reorganization of Sparks Studios into Asong Makulit Productions (now known simply as AsMak), Crimson Ai again was egged on by their peers to create a story now suited to the new visions of the group. The result of that was Tri, a story mainly influenced by the Oakwood mutiny incident. The group went on to create their only indie so far, AsMak Presents, of which Tri's Mylina Reales was the cover character. The said indie received nice reviews from the people who purchased it, and further proved the potential of not just Crimson Ai but the whole AsMak crew. At the same time, Crimson Ai's website at the time, crimsonai.com, received a good number of hits from their online peers. But little did they know, that Real Life would soon catch upwith them.
Fast forward a good four years later. After spending countless number of hours playing MMORPGs, watching animé, fiddling on Super Robot Taisen, and working day-jobs, Crimson Ai has now accumulated material to finally make a full-fledged comic. Maybe not a full-fledged comic, but something near nonetheless. And now, I could finally say that Crimson Ai is back on track!

The wolves, my love, will come
Taking us home where dust once was a man
Is there life before a death?
Do we long too much?
